Melanie Hwan

Melanie graduated with a B.S. in Finance and Information Systems and a minor in Business Analytics. She joined Snider Consulting Group in Fall 2023 as part of Cohort 7 and served as a Principal Consultant. She was also a member of QUEST Honors Cohort 41, Omicron Delta Kappa, the College Park Scholars International Studies Program, Sophomore Finance Fellows, and the Smith Business Leadership Fellows.

Melanie's strengths included creativity, collaboration, organization, and entrepreneurship as a result of her past academic and professional experiences.

At the University of Maryland, Melanie served as the Vice President of Technology for the Smith Undergraduate Student Association and the Vice President of Professional Development for Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional business fraternity. She was also involved with the College Park Scholars International Studies Program as a peer mentor and a marketing intern. Melanie participated in the SUSA Case Competition and the CSVC x SCG Smith Invitational Case Competition. Melanie loves to swim, travel, crochet, and bake in her free time.

Melanie interned at Northrop Grumman in McLean, VA as a Business Management Analyst Intern in the summer of 2024 and at Deloitte Consulting in Arlington, VA as a GPS Business Tech Solutions Summer Scholar in the summer of 2025. Following graduation, she joined Mastercard as an Associate Consultant in the Arlington, VA office.
