Melanie Hwan
Melanie Hwan is a Principal Consultant for Snider Consulting Group. She joined Fall 2023 as part of Cohort 7.
Melanie is pursuing a B.S. in Information Systems and Finance with a minor in Business analytics. She is also a member of QUEST Honors Cohort 41, Omicron Delta Kappa, the College Park Scholars International Studies Program, Sophomore Finance Fellows, and the Smith Business Leadership Fellows.
Melanie’s strengths include creativity, collaboration, organization, and entrepreneurship as a result of her past academic and professional experiences.
At the University of Maryland, Melanie previously served as the Vice President of Technology for the Smith Undergraduate Student Association and the Vice President of Professional Development for Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional business fraternity. She was also involved with the College Park Scholars International Studies Program as a peer mentor and a marketing intern. In the past, Melanie has participated in the SUSA Case Competition and the CSVC x SCG Smith Invitational Case Competition. Melanie loves to swim, travel, crochet, and bake in her free time.
Melanie previously interned at Northrop Grumman in McLean, VA as a Business Management Analyst Intern in the summer of 2024. For the summer of 2025, she interned at Deloitte Consulting in Arlington, VA as a GPS Business Tech Solutions Summer Scholar. After graduation, she will be joining Mastercard as an Associate Consultant in the Arlington, VA office.
