Hamid Shabbir
Hamid Shabbir is a consultant for the Snider Consulting Group. He joined as a member of Cohort 9 in the Fall of 2024.
Hamid is pursuing a B.S. in Finance with minors in Economics and Education Policy, Equity, and Justice.
Hamid’s strengths include community building, event planning, and creating opportunities for professional development among peers.
Outside SCG, Hamid serves as the Vice President of Events for the Smith Undergraduate Student Association (SUSA). He is also the Vice President of the UMD Ahlul Bayt Student Association (ABSA). Additionally, Hamid is involved with Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, and the UMD Muslim Student Association.
Hamid is passionate about using business to address issues related to sustainability, food distribution, and energy management. He has consulted for Repurpose Farm Plastic and worked as a Marketing Intern for United Source One, a commercial food wholesaler.
